  • The Role

    You will have experience of working within substance misuse or a related Health and Social Care setting is essential. You must be committed, resourceful and highly motivated to engage with people using our service within treatment services and promote recovery through their daily practice.

    Based within the Ellesmere Port integrated Drug and Alcohol Service, your role will support adults who use our service within the area to achieve their recovery journey goals via 1:1s and structured groupwork programme. Your responsibilities will include:

    • To deliver excellent drug and alcohol services to people and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
    • You will need to have experience in working within substance misuse services.
    • To manage a case load and co-ordinate and deliver assessment and evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning and risk assessments.
    • You will need to have experience of delivering structured treatment groups.
    • To work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all Via policies and Safeguarding principles.
    • You will deliver harm reduction advice, psychosocial interventions, needle & syringe exchanges, Blood borne virus testing and interventions, drug testing and overdose prevention advice.

    An empathetic and non-judgmental approach is imperative, as this role involves working with a wide range of challenging issues and behaviours.

    Good time management and IT skills are essential
