The following attributes are considered essential for the job:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitating excellent communication between staff, visitors and guests.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience of working in a receptionist role or administration-based role where there has been some contact with the public.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent computer literacy with knowledge of word processing, databases, spreadsheets and the internet.
- A willingness to learn about the work of the charity and whenever possible promote our aims and objectives.
- Post holders need to have a full, clean driving license.
The following attributes are considered desirable for the job:
- Experience of working with people with disabilities and specifically hearing loss.
- Deaf awareness training.
