Description
Join the team at Uppingham School Sports Centre, a state-of-the-art facility used by both the School and the local community. We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to be the welcoming face of the Centre, ensuring every visitor receives a positive and professional experience. This varied role combines customer service, administration and front-of-house support in a busy and engaging sports environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-quality leisure facility within one of the UK’s leading independent schools. As part of a supportive team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Centre while enjoying a range of staff benefits, including free Sports Centre membership and staff lunches during term time.
This role is for 21-24 hours per week worked on a 2-week rota (mornings and alternate weekends – specific hours to be discussed at interview stage).
About you
We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable individual who enjoys working with people and delivering excellent customer service. You will be confident communicating with a wide range of visitors, including pupils, staff and members of the public, and will take pride in creating a welcoming and professional front-of-house environment. You will also be comfortable managing a variety of administrative tasks, handling enquiries and payments, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Sports Centre reception.
