About us
Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice is in the heart of Headingley, Leeds. We provide expert palliative care at a time when people need this the most. We support you when you are living with a life-limiting condition, and also help your loved ones and family.
We support people aged 18 and over who are living with life-limiting conditions such as cancer, heart failure and lung disease by combining specialist medical care for managing pain and other symptoms with other emotional, practical and spiritual support.
We are able to provide care in our inpatient unit and our CNS team are on hand to visit people and provide care for people in their own home.
About the Role
Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice is looking for experienced and welcoming Receptionist to join our friendly team. It is a great opportunity to use your administration skills and also provide front of house support at the Hospice. The role has lots of variety. Some Duties and responsibilities below:
• Ensure all visitors are processed according to procedure
• Receive all incoming telephone calls and transfer or take messages as appropriate
• Deal with incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
• General clerical/administration duties
• Occasional cash handling
About you
You will be a professional and well-presented team member with excellent interpersonal skills as well as proficient in the use of IT and Telephone systems.
• Excellent telephone manner and “Front of House” customer service skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• IT literate
• Highly organised and able to act on your own initiative and prioritise work load
• Experience of using SystmOne would be an advantage.
Essential minimum criteria
Experience of working in a similar customer facing role
Experience working with basic administration
Working knowledge of common IT applications
