Who we are
RAFATRAD Ltd is a wholly-owned trading subsidiary of the RAF Association. With an annual turnover of over £1 million, RAFATRAD provides vital income to the parent charity to support the wellbeing of serving RAF personnel, veterans and their families. All profits are covenanted to the charity to fund its life-changing work.
RAFATRAD generates revenue through a growing eCommerce operation, offering RAF and aviation-related merchandise online and at major public events. It also delivers bespoke product development, fulfilment and storage solutions to the wider Association and its subsidiaries. Following a period of transformation and growth, RAFATRAD is now entering an exciting new phase of strategic development and we are seeking two new non-executive directors to join our Board and help us realise our ambitions.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for experienced and motivated individuals with a passion for good governance and a desire to make a tangible difference to the RAF community. You’ll work with a small, entrepreneurial team and a dedicated Board to drive the company’s continued success. We’re especially keen to hear from people with demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas:
eCommerce – operations, user experience, or commercial development
Business to business and wholesale strategy – including route-to-market and channel partnerships
Customer acquisition and retention – CRM, loyalty, and data-led growth
Digital marketing – website optimisation, SEO/SEM, and performance analytics
You should also bring:
Strategic thinking and the confidence to question and challenge constructively
A collaborative approach and strong communication skills
High standards of personal integrity, accountability and sound judgement
A commitment to good governance, aligned with the values of the parent RAF Association charity
This is a rewarding opportunity to apply your expertise for social impact.
