Quality Manager

Walaris designs and develops AI-driven, software-defined, and hardware-enabled autonomous systems for defense and security applications. At our office in Nuremberg, we are looking for a Quality Manager (m/f/d) starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve a Quality Management System (QMS) with the goal of achieving certification according to ISO 9001 / AQAP 2210
- Develop, introduce, and document quality policies, processes, and standards across the company, as well as analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement
- Plan and conduct internal audits and support external audits during the certification process
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific requirements (particularly in the defense sector)
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and executive management teams to integrate quality standards across all business areas
- Train and raise awareness among employees on quality-related topics
- Manage documents within the QMS framework
- Support in supplier evaluation and quality assurance activities
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, computer science, quality management, or a comparable qualification with several years of professional experience in quality management, ideally in a software company or in regulated industries (e.g., defense, aerospace)
- Proven experience in setting up and implementing a QMS, ideally including successful ISO 9001 and AQAP 2210 certification
- Strong knowledge of process management and continuous improvement methodologies, as well as experience with audit processes (internal and external)
- Proficiency with common tools for documentation and process management
- Familiarity with software development processes (e.g., Agile, V-model) is preferred
· High level of initiative and ability to work independently in a small-company environment
- Fluent in English and strong communication skills across all organizational levels
