As our PSI Lead/CBT Therapist, you will lead the delivery of high-quality psycho-social interventions within a trauma-informed, psychologically informed and recovery-focused framework. You will offer evidence-based group psychosocial interventions and 1:1 CBT interventions. You will also offer cognitive-behavioural formulation and perspectives on client treatment during case consultations and team meetings.

You will play a key role in training, coaching and supervising other staff in the delivery of CBT and group psychosocial interventions and in ensuring people accessing our services receive effective support while creating development opportunities for staff in our services.

Working collaboratively across teams and partner agencies, you will champion a culture of recovery, learning and inclusion, ensuring the people we support remain at the heart of everything we do.

Role Responsibility

  • Offering 1:1 CBT interventions and evidence based group psychosocial interventions
  • Overseeing the delivery of high quality, targeted individual and group psycho-social interventions with the people we support
  • Adhering to compliance and governance for internal and external regulatory frameworks
  • Adhering and contributing to development of organisational policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that outcome measure collation and analysis is used to improve psycho-social treatment provision
  • Offering cognitive-behavioural perspectives on client treatment during case consultation and team meetings
  • Supervising other staff in the delivery of CBT interventions
  • Overseeing client and family member feedback mechanisms and aiding service to act on these
  • Helping to identify treatment gaps and working with national psychology team to develop interventions to address these
  • Being a part of the senior clinical team in the service, contributing to making the service more psychologically-informed

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have a Masters Level qualification in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy
  • Have current accreditation as a CBT Therapist with BABCP (or be eligible and working towards accreditation)
  • Have experience of offering CBT in a health & social care setting
  • Have experience delivering psycho-social interventions and supporting evidence-based groupwork programs within a health, social care or substance use setting.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of substance use and recovery services.
  • Demonstrate the ability to supervise, coach, mentor and develop staff
  • Possess the skills and confidence to deliver training, provide constructive feedback and drive service quality improvements
  • Build strong relationships and work effectively with internal teams, partner organisations and stakeholders.
  • Have experience of promoting collaborative working across teams and partner agencies
  • Be committed to creating a psychologically informed, non-judgmental and inclusive environment
  • Be passionate about supporting people to achieve sustainable recovery and positive outcomes
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, ensuring compliance, governance and accurate record keeping
  • Have strong IT skills and confidence using organisational systems and records management processes.
  • Have a commitment to professional standards, accountability, continuous improvement and values-led leadership
