About Us
Double Impact is a peer-led, registered charity and not-for-profit organisation established in 1998.
Scunthorpe Recovery Service, founded in 2024, is a Lived Experience Recovery Organisation
providing support across North Lincolnshire.
Working from our base in Scunthorpe, we deliver a comprehensive recovery service for individuals
exiting drug and alcohol treatment, as well as those self-referring from the local community. In
partnership with WithYou, we offer a responsive programme of support, connecting people with
internal and external recovery resources, including:
1:1 strengths-based interventions
Group programmes
Training and development opportunities
Facilitation and connection to mutual aid and peer support
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Recovery Service Project Worker to join our team. This role is ideal for
someone who is passionate about supporting others and who ideally brings lived experience of
recovery, although this is not an essential requirement.
As a Project Worker, you will:
Provide tailored recovery interventions to individuals completing or having completed drug
and alcohol treatment
Support service users to build on their achievements and progress into meaningful, sustained
recovery
Work collaboratively with local partners and community assets
Deliver group sessions, structured support, and person-centred guidance
Promote engagement in mutual aid, training, volunteering, and recovery-focused activities
What We’re Looking For
Understanding of recovery and the challenges people face
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deliver structured interventions and group work
Commitment to person-centred, strengths-based practice
Willingness to work as part of a peer-informed, supportive team
