The Role
The Professional Learning Team are looking to appoint a Project Officer to support the delivery of STEM Learning’s Commercial CPD Programme. STEM Learning’s Commercial CPD programme delivers high-quality, paid-for professional development for teachers, technicians and education leaders, helping to strengthen subject knowledge, improve classroom practice and support better outcomes in STEM teaching and learning.
As a Project Officer at STEM Learning, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of the Commercial CPD programme, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard. You will work closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to monitor progress, manage risks, coordinate resources and support effective programme delivery.
Typical activities of a Project Officer within the Commercial CPD Programme include:
- Providing high quality project management support - particularly in terms of impact, quality, Value for Money and agreed timelines.
- Be responsive and proactive in identifying risks and opportunities, working with colleagues to agree appropriate remedial actions.
- With both a commercial and operational mindset, identify gaps and solutions in the end-to-end process management and delivery of commercial CPD with a view to improving delivery and KPIs.
- Overseeing the implementation of delivery plans.
- Provide timely reporting, analyse and interpret data to feed into Project Lead
- Managing relationships and communication with Professional Learning Leads, internal STEM Learning teams, schools and stakeholders to keep all parties informed and to facilitate the sharing of best practice across projects and activities.
- Tracking progress, identifying challenges, and ensuring the programme achieves.
- Raising PO’s, invoices and contracts for different types of activities across multiple projects.
- Time management and dealing with competing priorities and pressures – ability to manage own workload, hold yourself and others to account and, communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues to maximise outcomes.
In essence, the Project Officer role is crucial for the success of STEM Learning’s vision for this programme, acting as a central point of contact and support for all involved.
