Project Manager - BREEAM

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join the BREEAM team, supporting the delivery of projects behind one of the world’s leading sustainability frameworks for the built environment.

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Product Managers, you’ll plan and deliver key projects, coordinate virtual teams, and ensure initiatives stay on track from concept through to completion.

Your role at BRE

The Project Manager – BREEAM is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering key projects that support the ongoing development and implementation of BREEAM. The role works closely with the Senior Project Manager, Product Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are clearly defined, well managed and delivered successfully.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines and deliverables

  • Coordinating and leading virtual project teams to ensure activities are delivered in line with agreed plans

  • Monitoring project progress, managing risks, issues and changes to maintain delivery and quality

  • Ensuring effective communication and coordination between stakeholders, teams and senior leadership

  • Tracking project performance and providing regular updates on progress, risks and key milestones

  • Supporting the alignment of multiple interconnected projects and business activities

  • Closing projects effectively, reviewing outcomes and capturing lessons learned to support continuous improvement

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear stakeholder updates

  • Ability to organise, prioritise and manage project timelines effectively

  • Experience facilitating meetings and coordinating cross-functional or virtual teams

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to maintain project progress

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements

  • Experience producing clear project plans, documentation and progress reports

Desirable

  • Knowledge of BREEAM, the construction industry or related sectors

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g.

    Monday.com)
  • Experience supporting or delivering change projects and managing project risks

  • Relevant degree or project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, AgilePM, APM PMQ)

Work Location Options

Mostly Remote – This role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to our head office in Watford for planned meetings (1-2 times per month).
