Summary:
We are seeking a Project Finance Officer who will take the lead in providing financial management support to our teams running Diocesan strategic projects.

Salary:
£25,926 for 0.8FTE (being pro-rata of the FTE £32,408)
Hours:
ideally 28 hours per week over 4 or 5 days but we are happy to consider candidates who would prefer to work fewer hours (a minimum of 21 hours over 3 or 4 days). Let us know in your application form how this might fit into your life.
Job description:
We are seeking a Project Finance Officer who will take the lead in providing financial management support to our teams running Diocesan strategic projects as well as undertaking projects to improve the efficiency of the operations of the Diocese.
In this role you will:
- Provide regular project finance reports including budget, expenditure and forecasts
- Reconcile projects in the finance systems against final accounts
- Work with external bodies with regards to grants
- Support budget holders with preparation of statutory annual accounts, finance reporting and audit.
If you have experience of project finance, including budget management, and awareness of charity finance principles, then we would love to hear from you. This role will suit someone with strong technical skills (including finance systems and Excel), excellent organisational skills and the ability to clearly explain financial information to non-financial colleagues. Your ability to collaborate with stakeholders and adapt in a changing project environment is essential.
