The AYO Fern Partnership is a new collaboration between Locorum Ltd and Oasis Care and Support two established Black-led social enterprises working to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for African, Caribbean and Mixed Heritage communities and the University of Huddersfield
Together, the partnership is launching a new community health and wellbeing programme based in Huddersfield, with activity centred at Bradley Park Community Centre and St John’s Resource Centre. The programme aims to address persistent health inequalities by working closely with residents, community organisations, health services and local partners.
As this is a new partnership and a new programme, we are building a team who will play a key role in shaping how the work develops. The people appointed to these roles will help establish partnerships, develop community-led activities and contribute to building a strong foundation for a programme designed to strengthen community wellbeing and support long-term positive change for residents in Huddersfield.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about community empowerment, partnership working and improving health outcomes, and who want to help develop an ambitious programme of work that makes a real difference in local communities. The Ayo Fern Partnership programme is supported through funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
Location: Bradley Park Community Centre / remote working
Reports to: Community Development Manager
Salary: £23,000 pro rata
Hours: 20 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Duration: 3 years
Purpose of the Role:
To provide administrative and coordination support to the African Caribbean Health Partnership team, ensuring activities run smoothly, records are accurately maintained, and communication with stakeholders and participants is clear and efficient. The Programme Administrator will support the initial delivery of the AYO Fern Partnership activities across Bradley Park Community Centre and St John’s Resource Centre, providing operational and administrative support to ensure effective programme delivery, community activity coordination, and strong partnership working across both sites.The role will also support the promotion of programme activities through effective marketing and social media communications.
