About the Role
Guide Dogs is looking for an inspiring CustomEyes Service Manager to lead our unique in‑house publishing service for children with vision impairment. CustomEyes creates high‑quality large print and alternative format books, opening up the world of stories and learning to young people with sight loss.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead and develop our alternative format children’s book service
- Champion literacy, inclusion and access to reading for children and families
- Build strong partnerships with publishers, educators, sector organisations and service users
- Expand the range and reach of available titles
- Ensure a high‑quality, cost‑effective service that truly meets the needs of children and young people
Above all, you’ll help children with sight loss to live the life they choose — by embedding a lifelong love of books and learning.
