Product Innovation Lead (Coaching Products)
Product Innovation Lead (Coaching Products)
At CAP, we celebrate diversity and strive to build an inclusive workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve. We warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from Global Majority/UK Minority Ethnic candidates, as these groups are currently underrepresented within our wider workforce. We are committed to creating an environment where every individual can thrive and feel they belong.
Everything we do is rooted in our values. First and foremost, we are Christ-centred. The work that we do is guided by faith and the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and God’s love.
We are bold in fearlessly putting that faith into action to help others and challenge injustice, while also seeking to be compassionate in the way that we want to understand others and offer them meaningful care. We are collaborative in our approach, making time to learn from others and work together to take on UK poverty. And finally, we prioritise being joyful in the face of challenges, because our faith gives us confidence that change is truly possible.
Please note this is ideally a full time hybrid role with 40-60 percent of hours worked at our Bradford support hub.
Job Description
Context
Our vision at CAP is to see Transformed Lives, Thriving Churches, and an End to UK Poverty. As we move into Strategy 3.0, we are reimagining how our services work together to provide a holistic pathway out of crisis. While our Debt Help service provides essential intervention, many clients remain in financial secondary crisis due to deficit budgets. The Coaching Refresh is our strategic response: an integrated suite of face-to-face courses, coaching models, and community tools designed to build long-term resilience. These products are delivered through a Business-to-Business-to-Customer relationship with our partner churches, where relational, local support is digitally enabled by CAP’s central platforms.
Purpose
The Product Innovation Lead is the primary driver for the "0 to 1" development of our refreshed coaching suite. You will act as an innovator, responsible for taking the strategic intent for integrated coaching and turning it into a lived reality. This is a role that requires a blend of product management, project delivery, content creation, and technical administration. Your goal is to curate and build the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) version of this refreshed service, working with existing service users to identify and amplify innovative ways of delivering the coaching outcomes for delegates. Using agile techniques to test and learn how coaching and debt services can be seamlessly integrated to better serve our members.

Translate the strategic intent for the coaching refresh into a phased delivery roadmap that prioritises the integration of debt and coaching services.
Design and test the "0 to 1" journey for face-to-face courses and coaching interventions, ensuring they are practical for church volunteers to deliver.
Manage the transition from high-level concepts to tangible products, ensuring a focus on solving the problem of client deficit budgets.
Lead the onboarding and management of the first cohort of "Alpha" trial churches to test new service models in a real-world setting.
Systems Development and Technical Administration
Identify and implement right-sized solutions to facilitate the pilot phase without waiting for extensive development cycles and encouraging community co-creation.
Undertake hands-on configuration to create simple data tracking tools and basic automations that support the new coaching journey.
Set up and structure the initial Learning Management System (LMS) environment to house resources for church partners and coaches.
Ensure that all digitally enabled components of the B2B2C model are user-friendly for church-based teams - focusing on user-journeys to generate traction and remove blockers.
Content Creation and Tool Design
Act as the lead "Lean Content Creator" for the pilot, using Canva and other agile tools to produce coaching scripts, course materials, and PDFs.
Design the "Member Companion" experience, ensuring that any digital elements effectively complement the face-to-face relational core of the service.
Collaborate with the creative and communications teams to ensure all new coaching assets align with CAP’s redemptive theological framing.
Project Management and Stakeholder Alignment
Navigate dual reporting lines by providing technical product updates to the Product Team and strategic performance insights to the Senior Head of Services.
Establish rapid feedback loops with frontline church partners to ensure the "v1" products are meeting local needs.
Manage the project timeline and demand pipeline to ensure the pilot phases are delivered on schedule and within scope.
Measurable Outputs
Pilot Phase Delivery: Successful launch of the first integrated coaching trial by [Month 6] with a comprehensive learning report.
Functional System Prototype: A stable Salesforce and LMS setup that allows for the tracking of the first cohort of pilot members.
Asset Library: A suite of "Alpha" version content (Canva designs, videos, and coaching tools) ready for use by church partners.
Member Engagement: Initial data demonstrating that the integrated coaching model is successfully engaging members who previously had deficit budgets
Culture
Working at CAP is more than a job; it’s a commitment to a community and movement. We believe that a healthy culture is the fuel for our mission. This means we prioritise 'spiritual rhythms' in our week—including dedicated time for morning prayer, worship, and team huddles. We are a 'joy-filled' office, which means we celebrate every win, from a client becoming debt-free to a colleague’s personal milestone. Collaborative Bravery: We tackle big problems (like UK poverty) by working across teams and daring to try new things.
Inclusive Belonging: We want you to bring your whole self to work, knowing you are valued for who God made you to be.
Other Responsibilities
Being willing to pray with each other and fully engaged with our Christ-centred culture.
Encouraging friends, family and other contacts to support the charity through the Life Changer programme and other fundraising initiatives.
Attending annual CAP staff conferences and team revive days.
Completing all compulsory CAP training within given timescales.
