We are seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement Manager to lead and develop a new centralised procurement function across our organisation. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel throughout England and Wales as required.

About the Role

As a Procurement Manager, you will play a key strategic role in establishing and leading procurement across Victim Support. You will ensure effective, ethical, and value-driven procurement practices that support our organisational goals and deliver efficiencies.

As a Procurement Manager, you will:

  • Lead the development of a centralised procurement function
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to organisational objectives
  • Embed procurement policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk
  • Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and due diligence processes
  • Oversee the full procurement lifecycle from requisition to payment
  • Provide commercial advice and support to internal stakeholders
  • Promote value for money, sustainability, and ethical procurement practices
  • Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
  • Support wider finance initiatives and contribute to organisational strategy

About You

You will be an experienced procurement professional with a strong commercial mindset, capable of working both strategically and operationally.

You will need:

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Experience developing procurement strategies and managing supplier relationships
  • Good communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Knowledge of ethical, sustainable, and regulatory considerations (ideally within the charity sector)
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g. Agresso, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or similar) (desirable)
  • Experience working in remote or multi-disciplinary teams (desirable)
