About the role

The Bishop of Gloucester seeks to appoint a Priest in Charge who will work in this creative, collaborative, semi-rural Benefice, set between Cheltenham and Gloucester. This Benefice is our first to set up a Joint Council and it works very well in supporting ministry in each local context, whilst living shared mission.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • share our excitement for the future and lead us forward
  • collaborate with us around our priorities of enriching worship, embracing mission and outreach and embedding Eco-Church
  • help us put children and young people at the centre of all we do – especially building relationships with our schools and Sportily
  • work with a diversity of context and worship, helping to grow a culture of openness and welcome

The Benefice Vision statement is:

‘Connecting people to God and one another

through the transforming love of Jesus’.
