Six dioceses in the Church of England are working together in The West Midlands Regional Racial Justice Initiative (WMRRJI).
We are seeking someone either on a part time/fixed term employed basis, on a secondment basis from a diocese or cathedral, or on a freelance basis, who can work with us over the next three months to help us plan a programme of activity against scoping work currently being undertaken, and who will then work with us and the participating dioceses as we begin to deliver against that plan.
Due to the nature of this post, the post-holder will be working within the underrepresented GMH / UKME communities of the six dioceses, and bring an understanding the contexts which individuals of a GMH / UKME background serve in their Christian discipleship, mission and ministry and any barriers which they may face.
We envisage that the work will be an average of 2 days a week, and this can be done flexibly with a mix of home working and some travel to the participating diocesan offices (Coventry, Birmingham, Gloucester, Worcester, Hereford and Lichfield).
If you might be interested in working with us, then the WMRRJI Board and our Children and Young People Steering Group would love to hear from you!
We are keen that someone is able to start with us as soon as possible in/from September 2025 and will keep this advert open until a successful appointment has been made.
Payment: £36k p.a. (pro rata)
