Contract: Fixed term, 12 months (start dates 05 August 2026 & 03 February 2027)
Location: Split between PHEM with Magpas Air Ambulance and adult retrieval with the NHS, rotating between the posts in 3-4 week cycles
Salary: £73,992-75,849.50 p/a basic salary, plus on-call enhancements
The NHS and Magpas Air Ambulance are recruiting for an innovative new post, offering an exciting opportunity for senior doctors to work in a 50:50 split role with Transfer (Adult Critical Care Transfer Service) and with a Helicopter Emergency Medicine Service (Magpas Air Ambulance).
The post incorporates induction, training and Consultant supervision necessary to undertake both roles.
Candidates may apply as a stand-alone post, a post CCT fellowship, or as an OOPE, from an accredited HST training program.
Magpas Air Ambulance brings the very best pre-hospital emergency care, in the air or on land, including treatments usually available in a hospital. In 2025, we experienced our busiest year on record.
