*Essential requirements - UK NMC Registered Nurse with a Full UK driving licence and own transport - Primarily based at Sue Ryder Berkshire West, with an expectation to travel to our other sites, Duchess of Kent Hospice RG30 2DX and South Oxfordshire Palliative Care Hub OX10 6SL*

About us
At the Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice and community nursing services across Berkshire West, we look after people living with life-limiting conditions and offer support for families too.
Hospice care is the treatment and support we offer to people with life-limiting conditions. We combine specialist medical care for managing pain and other symptoms, with other emotional, practical and spiritual support.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a full and clean UK NMC registration to join our team, supporting colleagues to develop skills in palliative and end of life care.
The position is based within the education and clinical teams, answering to the Head of Quality and Community Services and works with the central Sue Ryder education team. The post provides a great development opportunity for someone who is interested in furthering their career in healthcare or specialising in palliative care and education. We would consider an applicant who does not yet have a teaching qualification and will support them to achieve this.
You will develop and support the education and training needs of the clinical healthcare workforce; contributing towards the delivery of the organisational Clinical Education Strategy and Framework including facilitating learning in palliative care . Within this role you will be expected to demonstrate clinical expertise and credibility in clinical practice by always being a role model.
You must have a valid driving licence and have your own vehicle to travel to support colleagues at multiple sites. There is a range of opportunities to develop academically and professionally for the successful candidate.
About you
You will be a registered Nurse with a UK NMC pin, educated to degree level (or working towards) who is able to evidence Practice Supervisor or Practice assessor training in an acute or community environment. You will be an enthusiastic practitioner who will be able work both independently and collaboratively to implement and innovate practice. You will also be able to demonstrate ongoing evidence of CPD.
Working knowledge of training needs analysis, planning and facilitation of adult based learning, mandatory and priority training requirements, different learning styles and application in delivering education and training is required for this post. Working knowledge of clinical assessment of registered and non-registered staff is also needed for this post.
