We are recruiting for a Portfolio Analyst to play a crucial role supporting the Portfolio Manager to ensure that the appropriate governance and support is in place for the portfolio of projects being undertaken by Dogs Trust.
What does this role do?
As Portfolio Analyst, you'll:
- work closely with the Portfolio Manager to maintain accurate portfolio information, reporting and governance coordination across programmes and projects.
- support the development and improvement of the project management lifecycle, framework, governance standards and best practices
- maintain and update project templates and tools to ensure they remain appropriate, accessible and aligned with organisational standards
- support the management of RAID logs and interdependencies across the portfolio, ensuring risks and issues are captured and appropriately reported/ escalated
- produce portfolio reporting, dashboards and highlight packs to provide clear information and insight for senior stakeholders and governance forums
- facilitate lessons learned and post project reviews to enhance future project success

To be successful in this role you'll be an excellent communicator with great attention to detail and experience of compiling all information surrounding project activity and presenting it in an easy to digest format for a wide range of audiences.
You'll have Prince 2 for Practitioner Foundation, ISEB Foundation in Project Management, or ISEB Practitioner Project Support Office, with a good understanding of business planning processes. You'll also be experienced in managing projects in a uniform manner, through championing a consistent approach using project management methodology, especially with regard to policies and templates so that projects are managed effectively.

What does this team do?
The Deputy Chief Executive Office (DCEO) plays a key role in overseeing Dogs Trust's internal operations, ensuring the effective management of the Charity’s financial, legal, IT, efficiencies, people, facilities, and governance functions. The Directorate works closely with senior leadership to support the organisation's Rehoming Centres, prevention programmes, and international efforts. Its focus is on ensuring smooth internal processes and great customer service, that enable delivery of the mission and strategic goals of the UK's largest dog welfare charity.
