Right now, we are looking for a Pool Worker to play a pivotal role in our Croydon Mental Health service in Croydon.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
You will be managing a caseload of service users with complex health and support needs, helping them maintain independence, build on their strengths and achieve personal goals in partnership with subcontractors and the wider team. You will provide day‑to‑day care in line with support plans, assist with activities, medication, and reviews, and actively monitor wellbeing, safety and security. You will carry out domestic and housing‑management tasks, complete risk assessments and audits, promote social networks, and work in a strengths‑based, reciprocal way. You will maintain accurate records, follow organisational policies, contribute to service development, participate in supervision and training, and complete QCF learning within your first year.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.
You will be bringing strong knowledge of mental‑illness signs, symptoms and treatments, with the ability to recognise declining mental health and respond appropriately. You will have a basic awareness of health and safety, be willing to cook, clean and provide personal care, and work flexibly across a rota including evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins. You will motivate service users toward independence, travel across services when needed, and maintain a service‑user‑focused approach. You will have good literacy, numeracy and IT skills, understand safeguarding responsibilities, use digital support‑planning systems confidently, and demonstrate a clear commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice.
