Can you tell me about the role?
This role will enable you to support Christian Aid’s peacebuilding and conflict prevention advocacy by producing practical research and communications outputs (e.g. research reports, social media content, and identifying funding opportunities) that strengthen our global influencing work.
This volunteering opportunity sits within the Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Policy and Advocacy unit in Christian Aid’s Global Influencing Team. Your contributions will help us work more effectively with local partner NGOs in fragile and conflict-affected contexts—at a time when more countries are engaged in conflict than at any point since World War II.
What will I do?
We are happy to tailor parts of the role to the volunteer dependent on your skills and interests.
Responsibilities might include:
- Conducting research and analysison the underlying causes of conflict in specific countries and identifying solutions advocated by local civil society and our partners.
- Engaging in research and producing written materialsregarding best practices in peacebuilding and conflict prevention.
- Preparing social media content and other communication materialsto support webinars and policy events.
- Providing administrative and logisticalassistance for advocacy trips and related .
- Scoping trusts, foundations and potential funding opportunitiesfor peacebuilding and conflict prevention work.
