Exeter College (part of the University of Oxford) is seeking a Plumber to join its Maintenance team, and assist in the repair and maintenance of the College buildings within Oxford.

This is a diverse and interesting role, which will see you undertaking plumbing-based repairs and minor installations across the three main College sites (including historic listed buildings), as well as working as part of the wider Maintenance team to provide a day-to-day general maintenance support service (reactive and planned maintenance).

To be successful, you will have a strong customer and team focus, together with experience of working as a Plumber or heating engineer (covering all aspects of the trade from installation to repairs). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work efficiently and effectively without supervision when required. Experience of working in an historic building environment and/or in student residential accommodation is desirable, but not essential.

The salary for this post is c. £36,078 per annum (i.e. £17.79 per hour). In addition, we offer a range of generous benefits, including free lunch whilst on duty, 38 days of annual leave, access to discounted healthcare/ dental care, and a contributory pension scheme.

The hours of work are 39 hours per week.
