Dungannon Choral Society invites expressions of interest for the Role of Accompanist.
Dungannon Choral Society has been established for 90 years. We are a voluntary / cross-community choir of 40 members aged 16 to 60+ with a broad and varied musical repertoire.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have a passion for music and enjoy a rich variety of sacred and secular choral music and musical theatre.
• Have at least Grade 8 solo piano with good sight-reading skills and the ability to play choral parts as well as full accompaniments.
• Be available Thursday nights (rehearsal from 7:30 to 9:30 pm) September-early December and January to April.
• Be available for concerts – usually the 1st Sunday night in December and one or two Friday or Saturdays in the Spring.
Music degree and previous experience in a similar role both highly desirable
but not essential. Ability to play organ in addition to piano desirable.

The committee will invite the shortlisted candidates to audition using selected choral music.
