Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of 1900 pupils, just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

We are seeking a passionate graduate or career-changer to join our innovative Computer Science Department through a fully salaried, school-based training route. Starting in September 2026, this role offers a comprehensive pathway to QTS and a PGCE via the University of Buckingham, with all tuition fees fully sponsored by the School. You will receive a competitive teacher’s salary, a reduced lesson allocation for study, and dedicated mentorship within a forward-thinking department that is at the heart of our school’s digital strategy and AI integration.

As a trainee teacher at Brentwood School, you will deliver a progressive curriculum – including OCR GCSE, AQA A Level, and IB Diploma – focusing on computational thinking and practical coding in C#, Java, and JavaScript. The successful candidate will teach Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of some teaching in Sixth Form. This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring educator to gain professional qualifications while being fully supported by a Senior Leadership Team that champions technological innovation.

For further information about working at Brentwood School, please see the links on this page or email: recruitment@brentwood.essex.sch.uk Applications can be submitted through the TES website, alternatively, applicants who do not have a TES account should use the relevant Interactive Recruitment Form on this page. The School reserves the right to change these dates, and to close the vacancy at any time.

Brentwood School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
