The Vacancy

Amy is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic *Personal Development Worker to provide person‑centred support for a young lady living in the Tollcross area.

Amy is a friendly and sociable individual who enjoys building positive relationships with both peers and staff. She benefits from support that is patient, encouraging, and tailored to her interests and daily needs.

About Amy:

  • Enjoys arts and crafts, creative activities, andjigsaws
  • Likes playing gamesand taking part in enjoyable shared activities
  • Loves shoppingand spending time out in the community
  • Values quality time with her familyand maintaining close connections

The Role:

The successful Support Worker will support Amy with:

  • Daily living activities, includingmaintaining her home(light housekeeping, tidying, and creating a comfortable living environment)
  • An element of personal care, delivered with dignity and respect
  • Accessing the community, including shopping and social activities
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Providing consistent, positive, and person‑centred support aligned with Amy’s preferences

Ideal Candidate:

  • Kind, patient, and approachable
  • Comfortable supporting with personal care and household tasks
  • Enjoys creative, interactive, and community‑based activities
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to build strong, professional relationships
  • Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential — full training can be provided
