Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be
Twechar Project is based in the village of Twechar. We offer a short break respite care service to adults with a learning disability; some people also have a physical disability. The project can accommodate up to 5 individuals at any one time. During their short break, people will be encouraged to take part in various activities according to their interests. Each person who uses the project will have an individual support plan which will contain up to date information on assessed need, individual likes and interests. All service users are treated with dignity respect and are treated equally ensuring all service users have an enjoyable time during their stay we try and ensure service users’ outcomes are being met and deliver a high standard of care.
Each person we support has different support requirements, so your support worker role may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.
Our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
