Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!
Each person we support has different support requirements, so your support worker role may include assisting them with various aspects of tenancy sustainment, emotional or psychological support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around the people we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

Based in Kirkintilloch, Ravenswood is a residential interim support service for people who are at risk of/have experience of homelessness. It’s a safe, supportive environment where people can gain in skills and confidence and start to plan the rest of their lives.
I and my peers may require support in the following areas: mental health, substance use, alcohol use, relationships, budgeting, anger management and other general life skills. I require you to be open, flexible, non-judgmental and compassionate.
The Ravenswood Service is looking for enthusiastic personal assistants who can think on their feet and are able to help to make a real difference to people we support. The project provides tenancy sustainment skills for up to seventeen individuals, in a comfortable relaxing environment. When people come to stay with us, they require intense support. Alongside housing support, we also provide various leisure activities.
My name is M and I live in the Outreach Supported Accommodation in Milngavie. I live with anxiety and sometimes have issues settling at night. I may call Ravenswood to speak to staff and I may need telephone support during the night. I may even need you to come out during the night to the Outreach service to support me in person if I am experiencing a crisis.
