Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.

You will be supporting a variety of people within their own homes with a variety of needs. You will support these people to enable them to live their life to the fullest. This includes potentially supporting with personal care, prompting and preparing meals, prompt of medication must more important just having a good chat. It will also include observation changes in health and ensuring these changes are recorded and escalated. It is a rewarding feeling leaving someone's house knowing you have supporting them to start their day, supported them with a meal or helped them get ready for bed

Let us introduce you to Agnes, Keith and Mark:

Agnes lives in her own home in with her son. Agnes is a very socialable person and like to be part of the community and regularly visits her friends. Agnes likes to be independent as much as possibly but does require support with meal preparation, and personal care and support with mobility.

Keith has cerebral palsy and has a very outgoing personality and great sense of humour. Keith enjoys likeminded people and likes people who are chatty and like to have a laugh.

Mark lives in his own home and enjoys attending a lunch club where he meets his friends and has a meal. Mark is very independent but does have dementia this means he can become forgetful in his day to day life.  Mark is quite a reserved man but if you can find something to talk about that he enjoys he will openly converse in the topic. John requires support with personal care , meal preparation and medication.

That is why Agnes, Keith and Mark need you! Will you bring your best so that they can live their best life?
