A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

 

I am a 47 year old man living in the Aberdare area. I am very sociable and like to be out in the community and go to the local park, maybe stop off in the pub and have a meal. I love all types of music.

I can walk short distances, but I do get tired easily so use a lightweight wheelchair when I am out that would need to fit in the boot of a car.

I have williams syndrome and use 2 hearing aids, and I can communicate ok. I am very able but will need assistance when I use the toilet if we are out.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Support me out in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

3.5 hours per week on a Sunday morning.

RATES OF PAY

 

£16.00 per hour plus Mileage

  • Personal care and toileting needs
  • Social outings, community activities
  • Cutting up some of my food.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
