A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 8 year old boy with a good sense of humour living in the Pentre area. I have a lot of interests including watching things on my tablet like Paw Patrol and taking pictures of Animals. I would like to go swimming from time to time and would like to try the cinema on quieter times.
I have been diagnosed with ASD, intellectual disability and have a restricted diet so only eat certain things and I wear ear defenders as I am sensitive to noise. I am nonverbal but will let you know via pointing what I want. I am also double incontinent so wear pads so would need changing if needs be when we are out.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To assist me out in the community and make sure I am always safe.
HOURS OF WORK
6 Hours per week.
RATES OF PAY
£14.00 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
- Supporting me to go out and about.
- Personal care
- Always supervising me to make sure I am safe.
- Help me find new activities and places to go.
- Take me to the park.
- Help me access my snacks/food/drink.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
- Driver with access to own vehicle.
- Someone vigilant, present in the moment and always pays attention.
- Someone friendly, approachable and has patience.
- Someone punctual and reliable as routine is very important to me.
- Someone quite active and energetic.
- Flexible with hours of work.
- Confident and able to work on your own initiative.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
