JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a non-verbal 2-year-old boy with Lissencephaly, living in the Thornhill area of Cardiff. I really enjoy playing with my toys and listening to signing. I am looking to recruit a Personal Care Assistant to support me in my home, whilst my mother completes some household tasks.

As my mother works shifts and therefore, a PA will need to be flexible to fit in and around her work pattern.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Supporting me at home to play whilst my mother completes tasks in the home.

HOURS OF WORK

6 hours a week as 3 x 2 hour sessions

RATE OF PAY

£15.75 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

Keeping me safe by supporting me to access playtime activities in my home

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
