JOB DESCRIPTION

Relief Personal Assistant

 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

 

Personal assistant required for a 13 year old boy living in Llandaff North, Cardiff. He has a diagnosis of Autism and associated learning and communication difficulties. He needs 2:1 due to his limited communication skills and he can display challenging behaviour However, he likes going out and will enjoy accessing the community with support.

 HOURS OF WORK

RATE OF PAY

 

£14.85

 

 

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Support out in the community to activities he enjoys such as going to the park, swimming, visiting the city centre. He loves cars and going for food at KFC or dominoes.
  • Ensure his safety at all times especially near busy roads as he has no awareness of danger

  • Car driver is essential
  • Bengali speaking is desirable

 

 

 

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.

    A 27 y/o woman living in Llandaff is looking for a PA. She has an active lifestyle and volunteers at a local charity shop on weekends and regularly attends music shows. She is an independent wheel chair user but requires support in manual handling to load and unload wheel chair from the car. Support required at home and in the community. 5 hours/week during evenings/weekends, time to be discussed at interview. Rate of pay is £14.00. Car driver with business class 1 insurance required.
