A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

 

I am a 14-year-old girl living in the Maerdy area. I am quite quiet and reserved until I get to know someone and then I come out of my shell. I am looking for a PA to support me to access the community more and take part in social activities such as bowling or arts and crafts.

I am diagnosed with ADHD.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Support to access the community, take part in activities and to build up independence. This will also provide respite to my family.

HOURS OF WORK

6 hours per week term time only. These hours will be used flexibly on weekdays after school.

RATES OF PAY

 

£13.50 per hour plus 40p per mile where applicable.

 

TASKS INVOLVED

 

  • Taking me out to take part in as many activities as possible.
  • Doing arts and crafts with me at home or out in a group/class.
  • Providing respite for my family.
  • Helping me to build up my independence.
  • Improving my social skills.

 

 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

  • A kind and friendly person.
  • A reliable and punctual person.
  • Someone with flexibility to work weekdays after school.
  • A car driver with business class insurance.
  • Someone willing to build a relationship with me.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
