This role is home based with a minimum of 1 day per week at Leckhampton Court Hospice - You must not live more than 25 miles from site. You wll also be required to regularly attend on site meetings and other travel on a weekly basis.

We're looking for an experienced People Business Partner to join our People Directorate and help shape an inclusive, high-performing culture across our organisation.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships with managers and supporting them through complex people matters.

Working in partnership with operational leaders at Leckhmapton Court Hospice/South West Region you'll provide expert advice on employee relations, employment law and people practices, ensuring decisions are legally compliant, values-led and commercially informed.

Alongside managing a varied caseload of complex employee relations matters, you'll contribute to organisation-wide people initiatives, coach managers to build confidence and capability, support wellbeing initiatives, and play a key role in embedding inclusive people practices across Sue Ryder.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to influence positive change while helping colleagues deliver exceptional care and support.

About you

You'll be an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively to find practical solutions.

You'll have excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, be confident managing complex employee relations cases, and be able to balance operational priorities with longer-term organisational goals. You'll be proactive, resilient and committed to delivering an outstanding internal customer experience.

Minimum Essential Criteria

To qualify for our Disability Confident 'Offer an Interview' scheme, applicants must demonstrate that they meet the following minimum essential criteria:

• Experience of managing complex employee relations cases and providing HR advice to managers.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Must live no more than 25 miles from the Hospice

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of TUPE.
• Experience within healthcare, charity or retail environments.
• Experience contributing to organisational change or people projects.
• Creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
