| Lifeline Projects works in partnership with NELFT to deliver community-based peer support that improves mental health and wellbeing outcomes.
The Peer Support Worker will be an integral member of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Team, using their own lived experience of mental health recovery to provide hope, practical support, and encouragement to individuals on their recovery journey. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, they will help people build on their strengths, achieve personal goals, and access appropriate community resources. The role includes a strong focus on engaging underrepresented communities, particularly South Asian women, younger Black men, and older Black men, while ensuring services remain inclusive and accessible to everyone. The successful candidate will understand the barriers created by cultural stigma, racism, migration, housing insecurity, and other inequalities, using their lived experience to build trust, reduce stigma, and empower others. Applicants must be in a sustained stage of their own recovery, able to manage their wellbeing effectively, and confident in sharing their lived experience safely and professionally. Living within the Redbridge community would be an advantage. |
