About the Role

Based in West London, our Crisis Recovery House provides short-term, intensive support in a safe, therapeutic residential setting for adults experiencing an acute mental health crisis. As a community-based alternative to hospital admission, we offer a calm, recovery-focused space where people can stabilise, reflect and plan their next steps with dignity and respect.

Our multidisciplinary team takes a creative, person-centred approach, placing lived experience and peer connection at the heart of recovery. We work collaboratively with local partners to ensure seamless pathways of care and positive outcomes for the people who use our service.

What You’ll Do

As Peer Support Coordinator, you will work closely with the Service Manager, staff team, Peer Support Volunteers and residents to design, deliver and embed a high-quality Peer Support Service within the Crisis Recovery House.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting a network of Peer Support Volunteers with lived experience of mental health services

• Creating a structured, safe and empowering framework for peer support

• Developing policies, procedures and systems to underpin best practice in peer support

• Ensuring safeguarding, governance and compliance standards are met

• Identifying and delivering training to staff and volunteers to promote recovery-oriented practice

• Building relationships with local stakeholders and promoting the value of peer support across West London services

• Monitoring outcomes, contributing to service development and working within agreed budgets

This is a dynamic and rewarding role, central to strengthening the voice of lived experience within crisis care.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• A strong understanding of the Recovery and Personalisation agenda in mental health

• Experience working in mental health or a related environment

• An appreciation of the value of lived experience and peer-led approaches

• The ability to recruit, motivate and support volunteers (experience in volunteer coordination is desirable but not essential)

• Confidence in consulting, liaising and working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners

• Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Emotional resilience and the ability to manage personal stress in a crisis-focused environment

• A flexible approach to working hours

Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.
