Peat Project Assistant - Fixed Term to April 2027
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Peat Project Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Peat programme and play a role in delivering several large projects. As a member of our busy, dynamic Restoration Team, you’ll assist with surveying damaged peatlands, preparing restoration plans and maps, monitoring restoration work, and supporting communications, teaching and administration tasks.
We’d love to hear from you if you enjoy being outdoors in all weathers and have desk-based work experience. You’ll be proficient in IT and should have the ability to communicate with enthusiasm, tact and diplomacy, both in writing and verbally. We have a variety of projects and workstreams underway at once so punctuality, a common-sense approach to problem solving and the ability to respond to changing circumstances at short notice are essential for success in this role.

When writing your supporting statement, please ensure you describe your relevant knowledge, skills and experience aligned to the Person Specification within the Job Description. Please be aware that if you only submit a CV, your application may not be considered.

Closing date: Sunday 19 th April at midnight
Interview dates: Tuesday 5 th May and Wednesday 6th May
