Essex Professional Coaching is a children’s Activity, Education, and Childcare provider established in 2017 to provide high quality provision for schools and individuals.

Our mission is to inspire every child to move, learn, and grow through fun, engaging activities that nurture lifelong health and wellbeing.

We’re proud to deliver high-quality physical education, wraparound care, holiday clubs, and football training that supports thousands of children each week

We are looking to recruit passionate and caring sports coaches, to play a starring role in our creating a healthier, more active Essex by inspiring and educating all through PE, Sport & Physical Activity.

To be considered for the role we are looking for someone who:

Displays an infectious enthusiasm for sport, physical activity and working with children
Has the ability to communicate effectively with both young people and adults
Flexible and adaptable, with an ability to pivot and react positively to changes
Maintains a professional attitude in the workplace
Passionate and caring individual
Key roles/responsibilities in the position:

Plan, deliver and evaluate high quality, engaging PE lessons & extra curricular sports clubs in a primary school setting (up to 32.5 delivery hours during term time)
Support & upskill primary school teachers and apprentice coaches within the company to develop confidence and competence in delivering PE
Deliver fun and engaging childcare provision and activities at our holiday camps in the school holidays (up to 40 delivery hours during term time)
Report on pupil progress and development in PE through termly monitoring and assessment
Skills, Experience & Qualifications required for the position

The successful applicant will:

Have experience of delivery physical education in a primary school setting, with knowledge of the national curriculum
Hold an NGB level 2 coaching qualification
Have access to their own transport, and be prepared to travel up to 30 miles of our office base
Ideally possess one of the following: Sport related honours degree in physical education or coaching or Level 3 diploma in supporting the Delivery of Physical Education in Primary Schools

Interview Stages

After shortlisting has taken place, we adopt a 3 stage interview process:

1. Telephone Interview – To go through the role and get to know you in more detail

2. Practical Delivery – If successful in stage 1 you will then be required to plan and deliver a session at one of our partner schools/camps based on a lesson objective provided by our team

3. Scenario Interview – The final stage is an in person scenario based interview to discuss how you might approach real life coaching scenarios

Successful applicants will then be provided with a job offer via telephone and this will be followed up with email confirmation.
