Job Description
About Police Now
We are working towards a day when every community, whatever the socio-economic background of its residents, can thrive without being fearful of crime. We are looking for talented, committed and mission-aligned individuals who will drive us towards achieving our ambitions.
Police Now recruits and trains graduates and career changers with leadership potential to become inspirational police officers and outstanding crime fighters on our National Graduate Programme. Graduates can pursue a variety of specialisms working in Neighbourhood Policing, as a Detective or within Counter Terrorism or Economic Crime units.
Police Now aims to create systemic change. We need highly capable impactful staff to support the recruitment and development of our officers and to cultivate strong relationships with partner forces and the wider sector.
The purpose of your role
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to produce materials for internal and external audiences, including force guidance documents, project plans and letter templates. This will include producing high quality reports which use data to demonstrate the impact of our programmes to forces and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate data reporting on our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce, to support delivery of a strong customer experience for partner police forces.
- Support our external affairs work by carrying out political monitoring, drafting meeting briefings and policy documents, and organising bespoke events for stakeholders to meet Police Now participants and alumni.
- Support the delivery of Police Now events which showcase the value of our programmes by completing guest lists, drafting invite templates, tracking responses, organising guest speakers, welcoming guests and collating feedback.
- Provide wider administrative support to the Partnerships team. This may include preparing agendas, minuting internal and external meetings, updating action trackers, team inbox monitoring, and general research.
Frequent travel to the London office (minimum of 2 days per week), along with regular travel to events and forces nationally will be required for this role.
Key Requirements:
Although prior experience in a similar role is helpful, we are more interested in your attitude, and your willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply knowledge quickly. We would like someone who has lots of energy and can take the initiative to see where you can add value to the work that we do. This is an exciting and varied role within a fast-paced organisation with lots of opportunities for you to gain some amazing experience.
- We are looking for someone with strong organisation, prioritisation and administrative skills, with outstanding attention to detail. You’ll take initiative, with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently both independently or in a group setting.
- You’ll be comfortable working at pace and being flexible, able to adapt to challenging timescales and shifting priorities. You’ll be able to maintain a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, even when under pressure.
- You’ll also have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships. Key to this will be your excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to ‘muck in’ and help others when the going gets tough.
- Willingness to travel to the London office, as well as to police forces and events across England and Wales when required.
What you'll get from us
- A bright, airy and modern office in Zone 1.
- Competitive salary of £30,500 - £33,500 per annum, pro rata (dependent on experience and inclusive of London weighting).

- 27 days annual leave each year, plus bank holidays and typically close between 25th December to 1st January.
