Job description

Part Time Trainer (16 Hours Per Week) (3521)

Are you an engaging facilitator with a passion for helping people learn and grow?

We're looking for a Learning & Development Trainer to deliver high-quality, inclusive training across Mirus, supporting colleagues to build confidence and capability as our services and business needs evolve.

This opportunity is offered on a part time basis - 16 hours per week.

Do you drive and have a full UK driving license?  You'll need one as there will be occasional travel involved to other Mirus offices

The full time equivalent salary for this role is £32,685

If you enjoy bringing learning to life—whether in person, virtually or in a blended setting—and you're motivated by our commitment to voice, choice and control, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role:

You will support the delivery of high-quality training across the organisation to meet evolving business needs. Reporting to the L&D Business Partner and collaborating closely with the L&D Coordinator, this role delivers engaging, multi-modal training sessions on a range of essential topics identified through training needs analysis (TNA) and learning needs analysis (LNA). The L&D Trainer will also work toward enhancing their skills in reviewing and updating training materials and designing e-learning modules to improve access to key learning resources.

Does this sound like you?

About Mirus:
For 40 years, we have provided support so people can do the things they love, achieve their goals, and live good lives - always with voice, choice, and control.

We support people with learning disabilities, mental ill-health, and autistic people. Our services are shaped by the people who use them – we listen to and value each person's unique voice and experiences, creating an environment where everyone feels heard and understood.

We know that people have better lives when they feel part of their community – and the community benefits too! That's why we work with others to build networks that encourage people to explore opportunities, discover new interests, develop relationships, and enhance their independence.

What you'll be doing:

Training Delivery

Facilitate in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions across multiple topics as designated by TNA and LNA conducted with the L&D Business Partner. Adapt training approaches to suit diverse audiences and learning styles, ensuring all participants feel engaged and supported. Continuously refine delivery techniques and integrate feedback to enhance training effectiveness.

Collaboration with the wider L&D Team

Work closely with the L&D Coordinator to ensure all training sessions are well-organised, with necessary materials and logistics in place. Communicate regularly with the L&D Business Partner to align on priorities, training content, and learning goals.

Training Content Review

Support the L&D Business Partner in reviewing and updating training materials to keep content relevant and effective. Evaluate training packs, ensuring materials align with business objectives and learning best practices.

E-Learning Development and LMS

Develop or adapt e-learning content for the organisation's Learning Management System (LMS). Collaborate with the L&D Business Partner on initial e-learning design tasks to create flexible, accessible training modules that meet identified needs, and support the continued use and development of the learning management system.

Commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Take personal responsibility for ongoing CPD by staying current on topics relevant to the organisation's training needs. Proactively seek learning opportunities in instructional techniques, subject matter updates, and L&D innovations that enhance the training experience for learners, and engage in professional development that aligns with the organisation's objectives and advances the L&D team's expertise.
