How would you feel if you knew you would change lives and make a difference in someone's life experience?

As a Support Worker at Affinity Trust, you will make a difference every day, supporting people to live their best lives, giving them confidence and choice.

One day, it could be a trip to the supermarket, the next, supporting them in a new hobby. Your support means people can live more independently; in the way they choose. Ultimately, your support gives people the freedom to be themselves.

You will be supporting a gentleman with cerebral palsy who lives in his own home in Inverurie, empowering him to live a full and meaningful life on his own terms. He sometimes communicates through behaviours that may be seen as challenging, so we are looking for someone who is confident, patient, and resilient, and who can provide calm, consistent, and person-centred support.

Experience supporting people with physical disabilities and complex needs would be beneficial, along with a positive approach that focuses on understanding the person behind the behaviour.

This gentleman is a wheelchair user and leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys being part of his community, so you will play a key role in supporting him to access the activities he enjoys, while also encouraging him to try new experiences in a way that feels right for him. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivating, and who can build a strong, trusting relationship while promoting independence, choice, and inclusion in everyday life.

We provide complete training to enable you to provide the best support you can to people living with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.

However, we know that what is essential is your kindness, energy, and willingness to make someone's day brighter.
