We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic nursery teacher who is passionate about working with young children and committed to securing high achievement for all. You will work closely with our Early Years Leader and will be supported by a friendly, collaborative team at The Manor Preschool.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that supports the educational, social, emotional, and physical development of young children (age 2-5 years).

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative learning experiences that support children’s development across all areas of the EYFS curriculum
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress and development.
  • Support children’s emotional wellbeing and social skills.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all children at all times.
  • Maintain classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress and needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education.
  • Follow safeguarding, child protection, and nursery policies and procedures.
  • The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as reasonably necessitated by your changing role within the orgnisation and overall business objectives as and when required.

Core Competencies 

  • Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Childcare, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting preferred.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, caring, creative, and energetic personality.
  • Knowledge of child development and early years’ education practices.
  • Being passionate about Early Years Education and Training
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Creates engaging and child-centered learning opportunities
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Committed to helping every child achieve success

Desirable though not essential – Experience and understanding of Vaishnava Culture and Srila Prabhupada’s teachings, and willing to abide by Vaishnava (ISKCON) practices in the workplace.

Location: Onsite at the Hare Krishna Temple, Bhaktivedanta Manor, Hilfield Lane, Watford WD25 8EZ

Hours: 20 Hours per week; Monday – Friday 9 am to 1 pm
