Job description:

St Mark's Church in Pensnett, Dudley are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Administrator to join the team. Working closely with clergy, wardens, project staff and volunteers, you will help ensure that the parish office operates efficiently and effectively so that the Church's ministry can thrive.

You will have previous experience of an administrative role and be able to manage your own time, prioritise effectively and work independently. Attention to detail will be one of your strengths.

Your role will be to set up and ensure the smooth running of the parish office, communicating the worship and activities of the parish to the community and beyond.

This is an opportunity to join us at the start of this exciting new phase in the life of St Mark’s Church and you will be able to use your administrative and organisational gifts to make a real difference. You’ll be part of a friendly, faith-based team committed to sharing the love of Christ as we engage with our community. The role offers flexibility, a supportive working environment, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to our shared mission.

You must be competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the postholder will be expected to act at all times with due consideration for others, and in a manner befitting their position as an employee of the parish. An understanding of safeguarding and data privacy in a church context are also highly desirable.
