Join Stockport Grammar School in a newly created role where you will make a real difference to children's wellbeing every day. As our Paediatric First Aider/Medical Officer, supported by the school nurse you'll be the caring professional that pupils turn to when they need medical support across our Senior School, Junior School and Nursery.

This is your chance to work directly with young people in a supportive environment, providing essential first aid treatment and care that keeps our school community safe and healthy.

What you'll be doing

You'll deliver first aid treatment and care for pupils across all age groups. In emergencies, you'll also support staff members who need medical assistance.

Working alongside our school nurse and Wellbeing Team, you'll help create a welcoming and efficient medical service that puts pupil welfare first.

What we're looking for

  • A good standard of education including English and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
  • A qualification in paediatric first aid (or willing to complete)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • A good understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Experience working with children
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
