Overview
The Training Academy provides classroom, online and blended learning courses to serve the needs of those working in the materials cycle and related industries. Our PIABC Level 5 Diploma Packaging Technology blended learning course offer learners from across the globe the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the packaging industry and its key materials and processes.
We expect the highest standards of our tutors in terms of their professionalism, specialist industry knowledge and experience, and commitment to their continuing professional development. This role requires someone who is flexible in their approach to all tasks, with the ability to modify their style to meet the needs of all learners and to provide feedback as appropriate.
Key responsibilities
- To deliver a high-quality tutoring to learners on the PIABC Level 5 Diploma in Packaging Technology.
- To deliver on-line, one-hour sessions with learners on specified topics to go through past exam questions and answer any learner questions.
- To lead online revision sessions ahead of the examinations in June and November.
- To undertake all activities with integrity and impartiality, and to offer a fair, reliable and consistent experience for all learners.
- To effectively plan and manage assigned tutoring responsibilities.
- To provide detailed and appropriate feedback to support learner development.
- To ensure all communication with learners is conducted through the online learning platform for safeguarding, internal and external quality assurance purposes.
- To maintain an excellent working knowledge of the packaging industry in relation to the relevant topics.
- Be responsible for maintaining your own on-going CPD relevant to the packaging industry and to submit this to the Training Academy on an annual basis or when requested.
Other responsibilities
- To maintain company confidentiality with information regarding learners’ businesses.
- To use student information in line with GDPR.
- To submit invoices for the work you have undertaken in a timely manner (at least every three months) with supporting evidence/documentation as appropriate.
