We are a leading Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling training organisation, validated by Middlesex University and accredited by the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP). We are also a Member Organisation of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Child Psychotherapy Council (CPC).

Terapia is also a clinical services provider, offering high quality, low-cost counselling, psychotherapy and bespoke mental health services to children, young people, parents/carers, families, and professionals in North London, Hertfordshire and beyond. Our work is at the heart of the community, helping young people presenting complex mental, emotional and behavioural issues. All therapeutic services offered by Terapia are part of our educational course delivery and are provided by our trainees.

About the role:

PA to CEO supports the CEO in all aspects of their work. You will manage a busy diary, scheduling meetings, monitoring inboxes and carrying out a range of administrative and other duties. This is a busy and interesting role in which you will become familiar with all aspects of Terapia’s work.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Complete diary co-ordination for the CEO including arranging and scheduling meetings and preparing of all relevant paperwork for the CEO.
  2. Advance planning and dealing with CEO’s emails and correspondence. Monitoring and preparation of action points for the CEO.
  3. Providing CEO with updates and overview of all internal departments by maintaining a constant link with all staff.
  4. Taking minutes of meetings – Staff/Supervisors/ Trustees (approximately eight times per year in the evenings).
  1. Administrative duties in relation to Terapia’s regulators: Middlesex University and the UK Council of Psychotherapy.
  2. Arranging refreshments for meetings
  3. Providing support on recruitment of new staff.
  4. Helping to deal with matters concerning students
  5. Updating of Website/Facebook/Twitter/Newsletters in collaboration with Terapia’s staff team if required
  6. Other duties as directed by the CEO to ensure the smooth running of the charity.

Experience and Skills:

  1. Proven PA, secretarial and senior administrative experience.
  2. Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Ability to deal with a very varied and busy schedule of events, meetings and enquiries.
  4. Organising and attending meetings to take minutes.
  5. Outlook and diary management experience
  6. Audio typing, Excel competence, database input.
  7. Ability to work on own initiative in the absence of the CEO.
  8. Due to the nature of Terapia’s work, confidentiality is an essential skill in this role.
