Outreach and Widening Participation Officer

Help inspire the next generation of students and widen access to higher education.

As our Outreach and Widening Participation Officer, you will play a key role in delivering engaging recruitment and outreach activities, including Open Days, residential programmes, and school visits. Working with schools across Gloucestershire, Swindon, Wandsworth, and Wiltshire, you will build strong relationships and encourage talented students from all backgrounds to consider applying to Cambridge.

You will also evaluate the impact of outreach initiatives, contribute to the College's widening participation strategy, and support the undergraduate admissions process during the annual admissions round.

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to combine event delivery, relationship management, data analysis, and admissions support while making a real difference to students' educational aspirations.

The successful applicant will have a flexible, well-organised and ‘can-do’ approach, with a good understanding of secondary education provision. You will also have excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, E-mail, the Internet and social media.

This is a full-time position, (37 hours per week) Monday – Friday, with some weekend and evening work required. A full enhanced DBS check will be undertaken by the College for the appointed candidate.
