Cumnor House Sussex is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our
vibrant team.

Statement of Duties for NURSERY PRACTITIONER

Reporting to: Joint Nursery Managers

Purpose of the role: To join the Nursery team to provide welfare care, educational guidance and
general support to children in the Nursery, including 2-year olds.

Responsibilities:

•  Assist in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
•  Support daily activities and routines within the nursery.
•  Collaborate with the team to create engaging learning experiences.

Desirable Personal Qualities and Experience Role:

•  DfE approved childcare qualifications for practice at Level 3 or above such as QTS or DfE

approved childcare qualifications for practice at Minimum of Level 2 childcare
qualification such as; NVQ Level 2, pre-school diploma or NNEB.

•  A good working knowledge of current legislation and monitoring requirements under the

EYFS

•  Experience of working with preschool children aged 2 to school age
•  Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (for term time only) or Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00
PM, all year round, with a day off a week.

Additional Information:
The nursery operates between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Occasional flexibility is required to cover
earlier or later shifts if necessary.
