PURPOSE OF POST:
To perform thorough cleaning duties to ensure a clean and hygienic nursery environment.

RESPONSIBLE TO:
The Board of Trustees is the legal employer for this post and exercises all the usual
responsibilities attendant on this.

The Nursery Assistant reports to the CEO.

MAIN DUTIES:

To sweep, mop and hoover floors to maintain cleanliness standards.

Wipe down tables and surfaces in various areas to create a pristine and inviting space.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in toilets, ensuring a safe and comfortable space for children

and staff.

Ensure the setting is safe for children and the team by promptly addressing any potential

hazards and unsafe conditions.

Notify management of any maintenance issues or concerns related to cleanliness and safety.

Store all cleaning materials away after use to maintain a tidy and clutter-free environment.

Notify management of restocking cleaning materials.

Set alarms at end of shift.

Explore the possibility of working at multiple nursery settings

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

A dedication to creating a spotless and welcoming environment for children.

Be punctual and reliable, adhering to shift schedules.
